Q:  What do I need to bring with me at the time of install?

A:  We will need your driver's license, a copy of your vehicle registration, your court and case number if the ignition interlock was court ordered, your vehicle, and your first month or 2 months payment.

Q:  If I get a new vehicle is there a charge to remove the device from my old vehicle and have it installed in my new vehicle?

A:  Yes, there is a $75 transfer fee to remove from one vehicle and install in a different vehicle. 

Q:  Do you charge for downloading?

A:  No, with Best Interlock, Inc.  there is no charge for downloading.

Q:  Are there any recalibration or set up charges?

A:  No.

Q:  Do you offer a discount if I pay for a full year in advance?

A:  Yes, we offer a $100.00 discount for the year paid in full.

Q:  What is the cost to have the ignition interlock?

A:  $70.00 per month if you pay monthly, or $65.00 a month per month if you pay of 2 months at a time.

Q:  How often does the device have to be re-calibrated?

A:  Once every 2 months

Q:  If I pay for six months or a year at the beginning do I still have to come in every other month.

A:  Yes, by law we have to fax your reports to the issuing agency every two months.

Q:  How big is the ignition interlock device?

A:  It is approximately the size of a deck of cards.

Q:  Will there be any damage to my vehicle?

A:  No, there is no drilling or altering of the vehicle.

Q:  Can the device shut down my vehicles engine while driving?

A:  No, the device does not have the ability under any circumstances to shut down your vehicle.

Q:  Does the device hook up to my horn?

A:  Yes.
